Covid brain fog is a very real problem for many people right now. Symptoms include difficulty concentrating, forgetfulness, and feeling overwhelmed. If you're struggling with this, you're not alone. Here are a few coping strategies that might help, found on the Harvard health website - Harvard: Covid Brain Fog.


  • Exercise.  It improves circulation, and over all health and well being.

  • Eat a healthy diet. A plant based diet that includes olive oil, fruits and vegetables, nuts and beans, and whole grains has been proven to improve thinking, memory. and brain health.

  • Avoid alcohol and drugs. Your brain needs a rest. Alcohol and drugs will not allow it time to heal.

  • Sleep well. Sleep is essential. Focus on getting a good night's sleep. During sleep, your brain rests and does it's housekeeping, clearing out dead brain cells, removing toxins.

  • Be social. Study after study show the importance of being social and spending time with friends and loved ones.

  • Engage in mentally stimulating activities. Do puzzles, read books (a recent study showed the benefit of reading fiction to ward off dementia), play an instrument, listen to music, practice mindfulness, and play video games (many games are mentally engaging in a positive way).

  • Maintain a positive and optimistic attitude


Stay Positive

The importance of staying positive and maintaining a positive attitude cannot be emphasized enough. It is natural that you will be upset about having brain fog from having Covid. But do not allow yourself to wallow in misery, feel helpless, or become negative.

Seek Support

Recovering from covid brain fog can be challenging and it is sometimes hard to not become negative.
